fix(onset): after an import, the git view catches up at once; an in-place import doesn't push its history back

What git main gained while a long history went in waited for the next
push. And publishing an in-place import tried to push the history to the
repository it came from, which fails once git main has moved and said the
view stays paused when it doesn't.
