Copyright and takedowns

Upstream hosts repositories, forks, issues, change requests, and other content submitted by its users. Send copyright claims and responses to legal@coline.app. You do not need an Upstream account to contact us.

Report a copyright concern

If you believe content on Upstream infringes your copyright, include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature, or that of someone authorized to act for you.
  2. The copyrighted work you believe was infringed.
  3. The exact Upstream URL and enough detail to find the content, such as a file path, repository, commit, or issue.
  4. Your name, mailing address, phone number, and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement that your report is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the owner of the exclusive right you say was infringed.

We review reports and may remove or disable access to the material. We may share the report, including your contact details, with the person who posted the material so they can respond. If your concern is about exposed secrets or personal information, contact support@coline.app and do not include the secret in your message.

Respond to a removal

If your content was removed because of a copyright claim and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, email a counter notice to legal@coline.app. Include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. The material that was removed and the URL where it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed because of a mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, mailing address, and phone number, plus a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address, or if outside the United States, a district where Coline Technologies, Inc. may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the claimant or their agent.

We may forward a valid counter notice to the claimant. Where the statutory counter notice process applies, access may be restored after 10 to 14 business days unless the claimant tells us they have filed a court action to restrain the allegedly infringing activity.

Repeat infringement

We may terminate accounts of repeat copyright infringers in appropriate circumstances. We review each case, including counter notices and withdrawn claims, before deciding whether an account is a repeat infringer.

For other rules that apply to public repositories and forks, read the Upstream terms.
